Our customer, Heerema Marine Contracts, needed  abetter way to plan and deliver for a client on a complex offshore decommissioning project. 

This project involved working on an older asset, with poor information and fragmented documentation, which made planning, risk assessments and maintenance difficult, leading to increased uncertainty and costs. 

Without a single, up-to-date visual reference, teams were left making assumptions, leading to inefficiencies. 

Solution for our customer 

A clear visual source of truth to plan confidently every time was required. 

Heerema Marine Contracts only had two days offshore to capture everything they needed for planning a complex decommissioning project on a deep-water asset in the Gulf. Our team of experts suggested a self-capture kit to gather high-definition 360° imagery and dimensional data with both tripod and hardhat-mounted cameras. 

Our team supported with online training in advance, enabling Heerema Marine to hit the ground running.

• Operating on our bespoke R2S platform, within two weeks Heerema Marine was able to access real-world measurements and visual context to reduce guesswork and improve accuracy across decommissioning projects
