Sean Huff has spent 9 years with James Fisher, most recently as Chief Digital Officer. He has managed all the software technology companies in the Fisher portfolio, from machine control systems to digital twins to condition monitoring applications, delivering value to top clients in the JF portfolio, including Exxon, BP, Shell, Chevron, Saudi Aramco, Vattenfall, Caterpillar, and the Royal Navy, amongst others. Previously he was a principal consultant with Nathan Associates, a macro-economic consulting firm based in Washington DC, on assignment in Jakarta, Indonesia with the ASEAN Secretariat supporting US trade policy efforts in the ASEAN region.

In even earlier days, Sean served as an officer in the US Agency for International Development in Moscow, Russia, and in the Balkans where he led large bi-lateral economic cooperation initiatives. Making the link with James Fisher - at the start of his career, Sean was a diver for the US Navy based at Naval Special Warfare Group 2 in Little Creek Virginia.

Jorge De Rosa has an MBA degree and over eighteen years of experience in strategy, business development, and M&A in the energy, oil & gas, and mining sectors in Europe, Latin America, and in the Middle East. Prior to James Fisher & Sons, Jorge worked in different large organizations such as PetroChina and Halliburton, focused on strategy and digital transformation, and was responsible for driving growth and innovation.

In addition, Jorge has professional experience in the foods & ingredients sector with Associated British Foods (ABF) where he worked predominantly in M&A and in defining and implementing the ‘next growth phase’ for the organisation. Jorge started his career in consulting working on growth strategy projects for clients in the pharmaceutical, energy, and mining sectors.

At James Fisher & Sons, Jorge dedicates a significant part of his time and attention to ‘new ventures’, where he is constantly looking for new areas and growth opportunities, performance improvement, and innovation ideas for the Group.

Bill Ballew, PhD, has worked in many sectors including public, private, military, and academia and possesses a broad range of knowledge and analytical skills based around his experiences. A former US Air Force intelligence officer who spent more than three years in Afghanistan as a contractor working with US and international SOF, Bill also spent time in the Technologies Management Office of the US Census Bureau and has lectured for multiple universities across a variety of subjects including neuropsychology and cybersecurity.

His professional background includes work in decision support systems, satellite communications, multi-spectral imagery analysis, and software development and design. During his time with James Fisher & Sons as Head of Innovation, Bill has focused on digital twin development and high-voltage subsea cable analysis in the oil and gas and offshore wind sectors respectively with an emphasis on data science applications.

He is currently working for James Fisher Ventures, where he serves as the defence and dual-use expert to develop digital capabilities inside James Fisher Defence as well as across other verticals.

Rahul Sharma is a Corporate Development Principal at James Fisher, where he focuses on M&A, strategy and corporate venture capital (CVC) activities across the Group’s core markets in Energy, Defence and Maritime Transport. He works closely with the Group’s Product Lines to identify and execute growth initiatives, and to support the development and scaling of innovative technologies aligned with the future of the Blue Economy. In addition to leading transaction execution, Rahul plays an active role in portfolio oversight.

Prior to joining James Fisher, Rahul spent over four years in investment banking, specialising in the Energy and Industrials sectors at Investec and Duff & Phelps. During this time, he advised on a broad range of transactions, including buy-side and sell-side M&A, strategic advisory assignments and public company transactions, with cumulative deal value exceeding $2bn.

Rahul holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton.
