Looking for a career that’s different from anything on land? Our Cadetship programme gives you the chance to earn recognised qualifications, travel, gain real responsibility, and build a future in the Merchant Navy.

As a James Fisher Cadet, you’ll split your time between college-based study and hands‑on experience at sea. Over the three‑year programme, you’ll work towards your Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate in either Deck or Engineering, as well as a formal qualification such as an Advanced Certificate.
