Angus was formerly Chief Financial Officer at Serco Group plc and Aggreko plc. He has previously held roles such as Managing Director of Pringle of Scotland, and senior finance positions at PepsiCo Inc. He was previously a Non-Executive Director of several listed companies, including Howdens Joinery Group plc, STS Global Income and Growth Trust plc and GKN plc. 

He is a chartered accountant with an MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland, an Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Jean joined James Fisher as Chief Executive Officer on Monday 5 September 2022.

Jean has considerable experience working in the energy and the technology sectors in both the UK and around the world. Most recently, Jean was Chief Executive Officer of Smiths Group's largest division, John Crane, where he drove a highly effective growth strategy in a business that operates in over 50 countries. He has an engineering degree and spent over a decade in various financial and market facing roles with energy services business, Schlumberger. His experience also includes five years as Chief Financial Officer of Expro, the offshore energy services provider, during which he played a key role in its successful turnaround.

Karen was the Director of Group Finance at Johnson Matthey plc, a position she held from January 2020 to November 2023 – including the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer for six months, in November 2020. Karen's previous roles also include Finance Director for the Aviation sector of Babcock plc and a variety of senior finance roles at Vodafone plc, Hanson plc and Amec Foster Wheeler plc. Karen began her career at Arthur Andersen. She is a member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Justin was appointed to the Board in February 2018 and was appointed Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee in May 2018.

Justin was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Keller Group plc between April 2004 and May 2015, having previously held the position of Group Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, he held various roles including Financial Manager at Reuters plc. He was also previously Chair of Forterra plc, a Non-Executive Director of Kier Group plc and Sirius Real Estate Ltd and Chair of their Audit Committee. 

He is a Chartered Accountant and qualified at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now part of PwC).

Inken was appointed to the Board on 1 March 2019. She was appointed chair of the Remuneration Committee in November 2023.

Inken was previously Chief Innovation and Digital Officer and member of the Executive Board at Halma plc. Prior to joining Halma plc in 2017, Inken spent 13 years at RWE AG, the German energy giant, where she held various international leadership roles focusing particularly on strategy, innovation, digital transformation and change management. Inken studied Innovation & Technology at Kiel University and has a PhD in Technology Management.

Appointment:

Kash was appointed to the Board on 1 November 2021. He was appointed as the Director for Employee Engagement in January 2024.

Kash has significant leadership experience, having formerly been Chief Executive Officer of Helios Towers plc (HTWS), from August 2015 to April 2022, and Non-Executive Deputy Chairman from May 2022 to August 2022. He was also Chairman of Climate Impact Partners, a world-leading voluntary carbon market group, until December 2023. Prior to joining HTWS, Kash spent eight years on the Board of Aggreko plc, with responsibility for managing its European and International businesses. He previously worked for various engineering and manufacturing companies in a number of senior roles, including Jaguar and Ford Motor Company.

Claire has over 30 years’ experience in the energy sector, where she held a variety of UK and international leadership positions, most recently with Tullow Oil plc, and prior to that with BG Group plc and British Gas plc. Claire is an experienced ESG professional with a degree in environmental studies and significant experience in ESG leadership. She holds an MBA from Imperial College Management School and is a fellow of the Energy Institute and Chapter Zero.

Shian is currently part of the Executive Management of Vioneo Holding AG, a renewable chemical company, and has worked in a variety of leadership positions at Ørsted, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, from 2006 to 2022. While at Ørsted, she held various roles, including Head of Operations Excellence, Offshore Wind and Head of Business & Market Development, Power-to-X. She led the global market scale-up of Ørsted’s green hydrogen and renewable fuels business. Shian has a degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen and spent her early career in M&A advisory.

Helen is a highly experienced lawyer with over 20 years of expertise in FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 UK-listed companies. She has led global teams across key international markets and brings a strong track record in supporting complex business environments.

Helen joins us from IMI plc, where she held several senior leadership roles, including Divisional General Counsel. She brings deep experience in the energy and naval marine sectors and has played a pivotal role in driving business transformation, M&A activity, and international growth strategies.

Helen also brings a wealth of expertise in corporate governance and risk management and has led the development and implementation of effective compliance policies and procedures, ensuring robust and responsible business practices at scale.

Matt Abraham serves as Head of Operations at James Fisher, bringing extensive leadership experience across the aerospace, energy, and defence sectors. Prior to joining James Fisher, Matt was Vice President of Global Supply Chain for John Crane, where he managed a globally integrated supply chain and manufacturing operations network. His career also includes senior leadership roles such as Supply Chain & HSE Director at OGUK and Supply Chain Director at Expro, giving him deep expertise in supply chain management, health and safety, and operational excellence across complex global organisations.

With a B.Eng in Engineering Technology and an MSc in Engineering Business Management, Matt combines strong technical knowledge with strategic leadership capabilities. His international experience spans Asia, Australia, India, the Middle East, the US, and South America, where he has led operational teams and overseen large-scale projects.

Kay Marshall is the Head of Sustainability, Communications and Marketing at James Fisher, bringing 25 years’ of experience across the international energy and defence sectors. Most recently, she was Communications Director, Culture and Business Transformation at BAE Systems, where she led strategic change communications for the organisation’s large-scale transformation programme.

Kay’s broader career has spanned marketing, communications, and public affairs, with a particular interest in complex strategic projects; from marketing rebrands, through to financial restructuring communications and business transformations. This included a key role at Expro, where she led the company’s marketing relaunch and latterly, it’s successful Chapter 11 financial restructuring communications.

Kay holds a BA Honours degree in Business Studies, and in addition to her corporate experience, she previously served as a Non-Executive Director at social enterprise.  Kay is passionate about people and continues to volunteer in various mentoring roles that develop the next generation of talent.

Jennifer McRae has extensive experience in the energy, marine services, and mining sectors, working both in the UK and internationally. Most recently, Jennifer served as Chief HR and QHSE Officer at Acteon Group Limited, where she led the organisation’s integration efforts in preparation for a change in ownership, supporting a global workforce of 2,000 employees.

With a strong background in human resources leadership, Jennifer has built her career across diverse industries, including a significant tenure in the mining sector, where she held a variety of key roles. Her international experience spans Europe, Africa, and the Americas, where she has contributed to both operational and leadership functions.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from Roehampton University.

Cyrille Levesque serves as Chief Technical Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in product development and manufacturing within the energy sector. Throughout his career, Cyrille has successfully guided products and technologies from initial concept through to full commercialisation. Most recently, Cyrille served as Chief Technical Officer at John Crane, a division of Smiths Group, where he led a transformation that significantly accelerated product innovation — increasing new product introductions from one per year to more than ten across all divisions.

Prior to this, Cyrille spent a significant part of his career at SLB (formerly Schlumberger), the global leader in oilfield services, where he held a variety of leadership roles. His responsibilities culminated in overseeing engineering and manufacturing for two multi-billion-dollar divisions.

Cyrille’s career has spanned multiple regions, including assignments in France, the Middle East, and the United States, providing him with extensive international experience across diverse markets and cultures.

He also holds a Master of Science in Electronics from École Centrale de Paris in France.

Sean serves as the Chief Digital Officer and Head of Ventures at James Fisher. He has managed all the software technology companies in the Fisher portfolio, from machine control systems to digital twins to condition monitoring applications, delivering value to top clients in the JF portfolio. Previously he was a Principal Consultant with Nathan Associates, a macro-economic consulting firm based in Washington DC, on assignment in Jakarta, Indonesia with the ASEAN Secretariat supporting US trade policy efforts in the SE Asia region.  In earlier days, Sean served as a Foreign Service Officer in the US Agency for International Development where he led large bi-lateral economic cooperation initiatives. Making the link with James Fisher - at the start of his career, Sean was a military diver for the US Navy based at Naval Special Warfare Group 2 in Little Creek Virginia, USA.

Richard Devlin brings over 18 years of experience leading complex programmes across the Defence sector. Since joining JFD, he has held senior leadership roles including Commercial Director and Defence Director, playing a key role in the division’s international growth.

He has led strategic expansion across JFD’s Defence portfolio, overseeing complex programme delivery and through-life support contracts globally.

Prior to JFD, Richard held commercial management positions at BAE Systems, working on both manned and unmanned international aircraft programmes in the UK and Saudi Arabia.

Richard is a member of the ADS Scotland Council, supporting technology advancement and investment in the Defence sector.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Glasgow and is married with two children.

Neil Sims, appointed Head of the Energy Division at James Fisher following the company’s structural simplification in late 2022, brings extensive experience from his career in the oil and gas industry. Neil gained diverse experience working in the global energy, technology and industrial sectors. Most recently, Neil Sims was VP of Product Lines and Energy Transition at Expro LLC where he led over 50% of the portfolio (by revenue) operating in over 50 countries. Neil also developed and implemented Expro’s Corporate Energy Transition Strategy.

Over his career, Neil has driven several key growth projects and business turnarounds whilst also working with industry and government in an advocacy role.

Neil was a founding board member of the OGTC (Oil and Gas Technology Centre) now the NZTC (Net Zero Technology Centre), was Co-Chair of Offshore Energies UK and Co-Chair of the NTSA (Net Zero Transition Authority) Supply Chain and Exports Board (Previously the OGA).

Rob Hales, appointed Head of Maritime Transport at James Fisher in April 2026, leads the division’s global operations, supporting its continued focus on operational delivery and international growth. He previously served as Head of Defence, where he led the division’s recovery, strengthening the orderbook and improving the conversion of opportunities into contract awards.

Prior to joining James Fisher, Rob worked at PwC Strategy and Serco. At PwC he worked with international corporations, investors, policy-makers and government departments on mergers and acquisitions, strategy and transformation programmes. Rob joined Serco in corporate strategy and transformation roles, before moving into general management. His leadership roles included working as part of the Defence Business Services management team within the UK Ministry of Defence and leading the 15-year, £1bn Provision of Marine Services contract operating auxiliary vessels for the Royal Navy. In his last role at Serco he led the aviation and maritime business of the UK defence division.

Rob has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School. He was privileged to attend the Higher Command and Staff Course at the Defence Academy of the UK in 2021.
