James Fisher and Sons supported the Indian Navy with a fully integrated, high-availability rescue capability across its East and West bases; ensuring rapid deployment, deep-sea operational readiness, and full procedural integration with the Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy needed a dependable, dual-location rescue capability to support both Eastern and Western Naval Commands.
The system had to mobilise quickly, operate at depth and integrated with existing platforms and protocols while sustaining high availability and compliance.
Solution for our customer
James Fisher's submarine rescue specialists delivered two Fly-Away Submarine Rescue Vehicles, Tiger 9 and Tiger 10, alongside a Launch and Recovery System (LARS) and LARS Integrated Decompression Chamber.
The solution was supported by an SMD STOM Intervention ROV, Side Scan Sonar, solution-specific crew training and ongoing SQEP-certified maintenance support to help keep the capability ready when needed.
