Planning and assurance services that strengthen rescue readiness and support rapid response in a distressed submarine incident

Supporting emergency response planning

In a submarine emergency, time is critical and rescue outcomes depend on proven compatibility between rescue assets and the distressed submarine. Rescue seat certification supports emergency response planning by confirming the rescue seat is structurally and dimensionally suitable for mating with a rescue submersible in line with current NATO requirements.

JFD delivers a structured certification process that produces clear documentation for national authorities and rescue asset operators, helping reduce operational risk and improve preparedness before an incident occurs.

Why this service supports emergency response planning?

  • Rescue seat certification is a practical readiness measure that helps align people, process and equipment before a callout.
  • Recognises full compliance or non-compliance to ANEP and MNEP 85 and 85.1 requirements
  • Verifies rescue seat structural integrity and key dimensions needed for safe SRV mating
  • Identifies design limitations, obstructions and other factors that could impact operations
  • Provides an ANEP 85.1 compliant Technical Data Package to support integration into global rescue frameworks
  • Includes computer modelling, physical survey, quality assurance, outcomes documentation and delivery support
  • Offers tailored survey types to suit first of class seats, repeat surveys and recertification needs
