Port storage
Located on the Cattewater—Plymouth’s thriving commercial harbour—Cattedown Wharves offers secure portside storage and efficient handling for bulk liquids, as well as a wide range of dry bulk and project cargoes. With dedicated berths and modern facilities, we ensure smooth operations for vessels and cargo of varying sizes.
With 85,000sqft uncovered storage, Cattedown Wharves can offer storage for a variety of bulk commodities. Thanks to our 220m long jetty and port that is dredged to 7.6m LWOST, Cattedown Wharves has the ability to handle a wide variety of cargo types.
Cattedown Wharves operates a fleet of dumper trucks, in conjunction with swing shovels that can handle up to 5,000 tonnes of bulk product each day, which enables us to take delivery of approximately 70% of Plymouth's import and export cargoes each year.
Cattedown Wharves is an approved DfT for ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility), as well as being a member of the UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) and holds a TASCC (Trading Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops) accreditation.
