Carrier Seal is an eight-person tactical delivery vehicle designed for the covert insertion and extraction of combat diver units. It operates in three modes, surface, semi submerged and submerged, allowing rapid transit with a discreet final approach.

• Crew and capacity: two crew plus six divers
• Surface performance: up to 30 knots maximum speed
• Subsurface performance: up to 5 knots maximum speed
• Range: 150 nautical miles on the surface and 30 nautical miles subsurface, with options for additional fuel and batteries
• Max depth: 30 metres
• Mission payloads: can accommodate systems such as communications equipment, ROVs and AUVs 

Operational effectiveness depends on more than the vehicle alone. Carrier Seal integrates onboard sensors and navigation systems to support safe transit and accurate positioning day and night, above or below the surface, across a range of speeds and conditions. JFD also supports capability adoption with training delivered by personnel with special operations experience.
