James Fisher’s atmosphere sampler is an intervention tool for sampling the atmosphere and pressure parameters within a distressed submarine.
Simple, reliable and compact, it is used before mating with a rescue vehicle, or salvage is attempted, when communication cannot be made with the distressed submarine (DISSUB) and the atmosphere has not been verified. The system provides lightweight universal mounting for a variety of ROVs and sustains a safe pressure boundary when salvage has been completed.
James Fisher also provides distressed submarine ventilation and decompression systems (DSVDS) that deliver breathable air from the surface to a DISSUB. This helps to not only maintain safe O2 and CO2 levels, but flushes a contaminated atmosphere and manages internal pressure, significantly increasing the likelihood of a safe and successful rescue.
