Getting in the swing for a good cause

A good time was had by all when James Fisher Nuclear (JFN) employees took to the green and hosted a charity golf day in aid of Alice’s Escapes; a Cumbria based charity dedicated to providing free holidays for families with a seriously ill child.

Customers and suppliers of JFN also joined in the fun, heading to Mere Golf Resort and Spa to try their luck at the site’s eighteen holes. Over £700 was raised and the day was a resounding success with participants enjoying perfect weather as they soaked up the picturesque parklands which surround the Cheshire based club.

JFN managing director Paul Read was thrilled with the event’s success:

“The customers, suppliers and staff who attended the event all expressed their pleasure at being able to support a very worthwhile charity. The day provided the opportunity to make new acquaintances and renew old ones in a relaxing and enjoyable setting on a great golf course.”

Simon Pyne of Alice’s Escapes expressed his gratitude, commenting:

“It was great to see such a diverse representation of people across the industry. Their kind donations will go a long way to support our aim of providing holidays for families with seriously ill children in the Lake District. A big thanks to all involved.”
