Two senior changes to the James Fisher board
We are delighted to have welcomed two new arrivals at the start of summer to the James Fisher Group: Angus Cockburn joins as non-executive chairman, and Duncan Kennedy arrives as chief financial officer.
Angus succeeds Malcolm Paul, who has retired from his long-standing role as chairman and non-executive director of the Group. Arriving from Serco Group where he held the role of group chief financial officer, Angus has also held senior positions at Aggreko, Pringle of Scotland and PepsiCo Inc.
He is a chartered accountant with an MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland and is an honorary professor at Edinburgh University.
Outgoing chair Malcolm says:
‘The company has demonstrated great resilience in the recent challenging times, and I believe I leave it well-positioned to weather the current issues and grow strongly in the future. I am proud of the efforts of all my colleagues across the group and would like to thank them personally for their extraordinary commitment. James Fisher now has a refreshed and experienced board, well placed to oversee the execution of the company's strategy.’
A second major change to the board comes in the form of Duncan Kennedy, who replaces Stuart Kilpatrick as chief financial officer (CFO). Duncan is a chartered accountant and was previously CFO at specialist healthcare company, BTG.
Malcolm adds:
‘We are delighted that Duncan Kennedy has agreed to join James Fisher as its new CFO. Duncan has gained significant managerial and financial experience in a variety of roles and has a track record of creating sustainable stakeholder value through both organic and acquisitive strategies. We look forward to Duncan contributing strongly towards James Fisher becoming a purpose-led, value-driven company and delivering the growth potential inherent within the company.’
