Volunteers help create a living landscape at Pitscurry

15 members of the RMSpumptools team spent a day out of the office in November giving a local environmental project an overhaul. The volunteers worked to paint wooden cabins, clear gardens and sort pallets at the Pitscurry Project close to the Oldmeldrum base, which is a charitable organisation that offers training and support for adults with learning or physical disabilities and is currently being developed through the use of sustainable energy technologies, with an aim to create living landscapes.

Lisa Warren, customer services manager at RMSpumptools, says:

‘It was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to help out such an important service to the area by simply giving up some of our time.’

While the work completed demonstrated RMSpumptools’ commitment to supporting the local community, it also contributed to an environmentally friendly project, which in a small way offsets some of the team’s own carbon footprint.
