STOP PRESS | Meeting new subsea inspection challenges
James Fisher Subtech has completed a challenging subsea inspection, repair and maintenance project off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland. The 21-day project was carried out at Ithaca Energy’s floating production facility FPF-1, and involved essential inspection work of the facility’s hulls and substructure, as well as maintenance of internal valves. Operating from the Olympic Challenger offshore support vessel, the JF Subtech team was able to plan around short weather windows to complete 80 air dives and 126 hours of ROV operations.
