The role is to develop relationships and improve routes of communication leading to the achievement of new orders and business income streams from the specific Customer Targets. The post holder will be accountable for the generation of Sales opportunities that maximise potential profitable growth through the achievement of sales targets agreed with the Key Account Managers through the Business Director.


  •  Generate sales by introducing the right technical experts to the customer overseeing activities and leading opportunities across JFN capabilities
  • Manage the approach to winning business positioning JFN by leading the Team approach to sales in the UK in line with OP-001
  • Develop opportunities that are in line with our stated strategy to maximise profitability against annual sales targets
  • Identify and exploit sales opportunities with existing and new clients as well as identifying potential teaming or partnering opportunities to achieve same
  • Monitor the customer accounts within the allocated sales area to ensure that sales potential is fully exploited against customer procurement plans and strategies
  • Establish and maintain effective communication links with other companies understand the competitor situation strengths and weaknesses identifying potential teaming opportunities enhancing our win potential and positioning
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts with the team to enable effective forward planning
  • Maintain an awareness of company capabilities and of relevant sales techniques to ensure that the sales role is carried out as effectively as possible
  • Assist in the compilation of PQQ, tender or bid documents as requested or preferred by the team.
  • Monitor the sales and marketing performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position
  • To assist the Business Director, Account Managers, Operations and Engineering Managers to identify relevant new key skills and experience that could assist in the targeting of strategic new business opportunities aiding in capability development at each JFN location
  • With the Business Director and the Bids Manager, ensure that Operations and Engineering Managers are made aware of all potential bids and new business leads that could result in an impact on their resources


  • A proven record of success in senior-level sales
  • Knowledge of remote handling solutions
  • At least 5 years’ nuclear market experience with a good knowledge of the defined target customer group
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of sales and marketing and its fit within the business development process to win new business
  • Proven history and preference to interaction based around strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Impressive record of achieving objectives
  • Flexibility to travel in the UK and internationally
